“Kept in God’s love, and
standing firm in confusing times.”
By: Brenda
Jude 1:17-25
To my family and friends,
These verses from Jude are a gentle reminder for our hearts today.
Jude is speaking to people who love God but are surrounded by confusion, pressure, and voices that pull in the wrong direction. That sounds a lot like the world we are living in today.
Jude tells us first to remember what we have been taught through scripture.
The apostles warned that there would be people who twist truth and follow their own desires.
So when we see chaos or hear teachings that do not line up with God’s Word, we do not have to be shaken. God has already prepared us for this through His Word.
Then Jude brings us right back to the center and he says.
“Stay in the love of God.”
Not by striving or performing, but by keeping our hearts close to God.
Then Jude gives us three simple, beautiful ways to do that:
- Build ourselves up in our faith by feeding our spirit. Stay in the Word and keep growing.
- Pray in the Holy Spirit. Let our prayers be guided, strengthened, and lifted by the Spirit.
- And wait with hope. God’s mercy will carry us all the way home.
Then Jude turns our eyes outward.
He says, “Show mercy.”
Some people are doubting. Some are slipping. Some are tangled in sin.
Jude does not tell us to judge them.
He tells us to reach for them with compassion, but with wisdom.
Because Mercy is the heartbeat of God.
Finally, Jude closes with one of the most comforting Truths in all of Scripture:
God is the One who keeps us from falling.
Not our strength. Not our perfection, but
God Himself will hold us steady and present us before His Glory with joy.
This passage is for anyone who feels weary, confused, or burdened by the world around them.
It is for the one who wants to stay faithful but feels the pressure.
It is for the one who is trying to help others without losing heart.
And it is for the one who needs to be reminded that God is holding them more tightly than they are holding Him.
My sweet family and friends, may you all stay in God’s love. May you stay rooted in God’s Truth. May you stay merciful.
And may you trust God who keeps you.
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
Dear Father in heaven,
Thank You for calling us Your beloved.
In these confusing days, steady our hearts in Your Truth.
Teach us to stay close to Your love, building our faith, praying with Your Spirit’s help, and waiting with hope for the mercy that carries us home.
Give us gentle hearts toward those who are struggling.
Help us reach for them with compassion and wisdom, just as You reached for us.
And Father, keep us from falling.
Hold us close until the day You present us before Your Glory with great joy.
May we trust You, and may we rest in Your keeping.
In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.
Have a blessed day, and a beautiful Sabbath 🙏
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
