“As the World Grows Darker”
There is a heaviness in the air today. Not the kind that comes from weather or circumstance, but the kind that settles over a world drifting further from truth.
We are watching corruption rise, deception multiply, and evil parade itself without shame.
What we see now is only the beginning of what Scripture tells us is coming.
And yet, God has not changed. His Word has not changed, and His call to His people has not changed.
This is the moment where the faithful must become anchored.
Dear Father in heaven,
We all stand before You in a world that is unraveling.
Lies are celebrated as truth, and truth is dismissed as offense.
Evil is called good, and good is mocked as foolishness.
The foundations of the earth tremble under the weight of corruption, and many hearts are growing weary.
But You, Father, remain the same.
You warned us in Your Word that days like these would come.
Days when deception would be strong, when darkness would masquerade as light, and when many would lose their love for truth.
And yet You also said through Your Son that those who endure, those who cling to You, those who keep their hearts steadfast, will stand and be saved.
So I ask You today,
Strengthen our minds to resist the flood of deception.
Strengthen our hearts to remain tender, not hardened by fear or anger.
Strengthen our spirits to discern what is real, what is right, and what is Yours.
Teach us to walk through this corrupted world without becoming part of it.
Teach us to speak truth without compromise and to love righteousness more than comfort.
Teach us to keep our eyes fixed on You when everything around us shakes.
Father, expose the hidden works of darkness.
Unmask every lie.
Break the power of deception.
Let Your truth rise like dawn over Your people.
And as the world grows darker, may our faith burn brighter.
As evil increases, increase our courage.
As confusion spreads, deepen our clarity.
As many fall away, root us even deeper in Your Word.
May we declare today that without You, we have nothing. But with You, we lack nothing.
Keep our minds stayed on You. Keep our hearts anchored in Your presence, and keep our steps aligned with what is right, just, and holy.
In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.
