A friend of mine said they were learning all about the Armor of God and how they were trying to apply this in their daily walk.

So I thought I would share this study. I have shared it before and I personally love this study.

“The Armor of God” (Ephesians 6:10–18)

Sometimes for me life feels like a spiritual battlefield.

So when I read about the Armor of God I see that
Paul  is reminding us that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces.

I see that God, in His love, equips us with His “Armor” not to weigh us down, but to strengthen us for daily living, witnessing, and standing firm in our faith.

This “Armor” is not only symbolic.  It is practical.
Each piece represents a truth we can intentionally “Put on” each day as we walk faithfully with God.

1st, we have the
“Belt of Truth.”
The “Belt” holds everything together for a soldier.
And the “Truth” is what secures and stabilizes us.
If we begin each day by affirming “God’s Truth” over lies. Then when doubts or temptations come, we can remind ourselves that “God’s Truth” is our foundation, ” and by living “Truthfully,” we can show others the integrity of God’s Spirit living in us.

2nd, we have the  “Breastplate of Righteousness.”
The “Breastplate” protects our heart, the seat of our emotions and will.
If we wear this “Breastplate,” daily then our heart is guarded, and we have chosen purity, forgiveness, and obedience in our walk.
Then the “Righteousness” in our life will speak louder than all of our words, and it will show the transforming power of our Father in us.

3rd, we have the
“Shoes of the Gospel of Peace.”
These “Shoes” enable readiness and movement, and the “Peace” steadies our steps.
So, when we are wearing these “Shoes” no matter where we go, we will carry the “Peace” of God with us, and  let His calmness guide our steps, our conversations, and our decisions.
And when we share the gospel, we share it, not with pressure, but with “Peace” inviting others into God’s rest.

4th, we have the
“Shield of Faith.”
The “Shield” extinguishes fiery arrows, and the “Faith” protects us from doubt, fear, and temptation.
When we have this “Shield” with us, and trials come our way, we lift up our “Faith,” our “Shield,” and trust God even when we can not see the out come.
So, our “Faith” is inspiring others, and people start to notice that we stand firm in the storms.

5th, we have the
“Helmet of Salvation.”
This “Helmet” when we wear it guards our mind, and the “Salvation” secures our identity in Christ.
This “Helmet” protects our thoughts by helping us remember that we are saved, loved, and secure through Christ, God’s Son.
And then the confidence in our “Salvation” will allow us to share the gospel boldly, without fear.

6th, we have the
“Sword of the Spirit.”
(God’s Truth)
This is the only offensive weapon, sharp, living, and active.
When we speak scripture into our day. When we memorize verses to combat lies and discouragement.
Then God’s Word pierces our hearts, and we can share it gently, knowing it will carry His divine power.

Paul closes this teaching by by urging us to pray continually.
Prayer is what keeps our “Armor of God” active.
When we pray over our day, over our family, over our community, and over those who do not yet know God, we are preparing our hearts for gospel encounters with others.

“Don’t leave home without the “Armor of God”  Be fully dressed and you will never be caught off guard by the enemy, and God will always be with you.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

Thank You for this day, and thank You for my family and friends.

Thank You for equipping us with Your Armor of love and strength.

Today, may we fasten the Belt of Truth around our waist, reminding us of Your Word when lies surround us.

May we put on the Breastplate of Righteousness that guards our hearts with purity.

May we lace up our Shoes of Peace and walk gently, sharing Your gospel with grace.

May we lift the Shield of Faith before us, extinguishing every doubt and fear that comes our way.

May we place the Helmet of Salvation upon our heads securing our mind in the hope of eternity.

May we wield the Sword of the Spirit by letting Your Truth be alive in our mouths and hearts.

And Father, may we pray continually covering our families, covering our community, and covering those who need Your light.

Clothe us daily in Your Armor, that we may stand firm, love deeply, and witness boldly.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
