“What Makes Us Saved”
Salvation has always been rooted in Faith in the One True God. From the very beginning, God has revealed Himself as One.
** “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)
Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, every one of them was saved because they believed in the One True God and responded with obedience.
Salvation was never based on rituals or systems. It was based on Faith and obedience.
Jesus taught the same Salvation.
One God, one Faith, and obedience.
Jesus did not introduce a new God.
Jesus said:
** “Here O Israel the Lord our God, is One Lord.” (Mark 12:29)
** “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
(John 17:3)
Paul teaching:
** “One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
(Ephesians 4:5-6)
Jesus revealed the same God the patriarchs worshiped. Jesus called Him Father throughout the Gospels and Revelation.
Study Jesus’ view of His Father throughout the Gospels and Revelation. “My Father”
Jesus Himself believed in the One True God. Jesus said,
** “The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”
(Mark 12:29) – here Jesus was quoting
** (Deuteronomy 6:4) “Hear O Israel, The LORD our God, the LORD is one!”
Jesus taught in synagogues. Jesus read from the Torah. Jesus quoted Moses, David, Isaiah, and Jeremiah.
Jesus showed us how obedience looks, not as legalism, but as love.
**…”I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” (John 5:30)
Jesus made Salvation clear.
** “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me, but in Him who sent Me.” (John 12:44)
Jesus is the way to the Father because He perfectly reveals the Father.
** “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”
(Matthew 11:27)
Salvation today is the same as it has always been. We Believe in the One True God.
** “This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)
Jesus was the perfect image of the Father.
** He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
(Colossians 1:15)
We Walk in Obedience.
** “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
Jesus laid down His life in perfect obedience to His Father. And we are covered by His blood.
** “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)
Jesus trusted His Father completely.
** “Jesus prays, “Father if You are willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done.”
(Luke 22:42)
Jesus obeyed perfectly.
** “For I have come down from heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent Me. (John 6:38)
** “The one who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.” (John 7:29)
Jesus believed the same faith as all the ones who taught before Him.
One God. One Father. One Kingdom.
David prayed:
** “Blessed are You LORD God of Israel, our Father forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory, and the majesty, for all that is in heaven and in the earth is Yours; Your’s is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all.”
(1 Chronicles 29:10-11)
Jesus prayed,
** “Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:9-13)
** “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”
(John 17:24)
Salvation has not changed. It is.
“Faith in the One True God, and obedience to His Word.”
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
From me to all of you:
I know we do not all read or understand God’s Word in the same way. We come from different backgrounds, different journeys, and different levels of understanding. This is simply how I read it, how I understand it, and how I see God’s truth revealed throughout Scripture.
My encouragement to all of you is simple.
Keep reading. Keep studying. Keep praying. Keep working out your own salvation with sincerity and reverence.
Let God’s Truth be your anchor, not tradition, not arguments, and not labels.
And at the end of the day, no matter our differences, we still have One God, One faith, One Lord Jesus Christ.
God loves you ❤️ and so do I ❤️
Have a blessed day
Dear Father in heaven,
Thank You for revealing Yourself from the beginning of Scripture’s as the One True God.
Thank You for the faith of Adam, Noah, Abraham, and all who walked before us.
Thank You for sending Your Son to show us Your heart, Your commandments, and Your way.
Help us to believe as they believed,
to obey as Jesus obeyed, and to walk in Your Truth.
Cover us with the blood of the Lamb,
strengthen our faith, and prepare us for Your coming kingdom.
In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.
