“Flowers Grow in the Valley”

Have you ever noticed that the sweetest worship does not always happen when life is easy?

Real, deep worship happens in the low places. It happens in the valley – where the pain is heavy, where we miss what we lost, and where the silence feels so loud.

God’s Word reminds us:
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 73:26
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

True worship is praising God when our heart is in pieces. It is saying “Thank You” even when it feels like our prayers are not being answered. It is trusting God when our hope is hanging by a thread, and loving God even on days He feels far away.

When we are at our lowest point, God is our hope. When we are in our darkest place, God is our light. When we feel too weak to keep going, God is our strength.
When tears will not stop coming, God is our comfort.

In the Bible, the song Song of Solomon 2:1 says:
”I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.”

In the hard, low places of life – the valleys – God does something beautiful. Just like real flowers need quiet, dark soil and heavy rain to grow, our faith grows when we go through hard times.

It is in these deep valleys that our worship becomes the most beautiful to God. Why? Because it comes straight out of trust.
We choose to believe that God alone will make a way, even when we can not see how. And that is where God shows us something wonderful:
“Flowers still grow in the valley.”

Oh, how God loves us! ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

You are good, and You deserve our praise in every season of life.

When we are down and low, You pick us up.

When everything around us is dark, You shine Your light.

When we are too weak to walk, You carry us.

When sorrow gets too heavy, You hold us close and comfort us.

Teach us how to worship You not just on our good days, but in our painful days, too.

Help us praise You when we have plenty, and when we have nothing at all.

Keep our hearts close to You. And help us remember that You are always enough for us.

Father, please open our eyes to see the beautiful flowers growing in our valleys today.

In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
