“Don’t Worry About Tomorrow”

Matthew 6:34 speaks straight into the places where our minds run ahead of our feet. I pray that this study will help all of you breathe again, slow down, and remember who holds your tomorrow.

Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Jesus was not telling us to ignore responsibilities or pretend life is not hard.
He was inviting us into a different way of living.
A way where we could stop carrying days that have not happened yet.

Worry only borrows pain from a future that God has not asked us to live.

We need to trust that God is already in our tomorrow.
He is not limited by time and He is already standing in the place we fear.

We need to stay present with Him today.
Because today is where His strength is, today is where His grace is, and today is where His voice is.

When worry tries to drag us into a day where God has not promised His strength. Jesus simply calls us back to this moment.

“Today where God is enough.”

This verse in Matthew becomes practical when we understand how worry works.

Worry multiplies. And one thought becomes ten, and then ten becomes a storm.
Worry blinds us, and I
it makes us miss the blessings, the answers, and the peace God is giving us right now.

Worry drains us, and it steals today’s strength by spending it on tomorrow’s “what ifs.”

Jesus is simply trying to tell us a better way.
“Live one day at a time.”

Not because life is easy, but because God gives strength in daily portions.

Let our tomorrow be God’s job. He is the only One who can carry it.

Stay rooted in today’s assignment. Love well, pray faithfully, walk humbly, and trust deeply.

When we live this way, we stop drowning in imagined futures and start walking in the peace God wants for us.

We can apply this by starting each morning with prayer. “Father, I give You this day. Lead me, strengthen me, and keep me in Your peace.”

We can refuse to rehearse tomorrow’s fears.
When our thoughts run ahead, gently pull them back by saying.
“That’s tomorrow. God is already there, but I want to just stay here with Him today.”

Do the next right thing.
Not everything. Just the next thing God puts in front of you.

And then End the day with release. “Father, I place everything unfinished into Your hands.”

Remember that if He carried you yesterday, He will carry you tomorrow.

This is decipleship. Choosing trust over torment.

May we wake each morning, knowing
How much God loves us ❤️

“And just live this day…”

Dear Father in heaven,

Thank You for the gift of this day.

Thank You for breath, strength, and the grace that meets each of us right where we are.

Teach us to release tomorrow into Your hands and to walk faithfully in the moments You have given us right now.

Calm every anxious thought.

Quiet every fear.

And remind us that You are already in our tomorrows preparing the way.

Help us to trust You more deeply, and to rest in You more fully.

May we live each day with a heart anchored in Your peace and in Your love.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️

My dear family and friends,

I wanted to let you know that I will be having surgery in the morning, so I may not be able to post a study for a little while.

I will be back as soon as I am able. In the meantime, if you need prayer, encouragement, or just someone to talk to, please feel free to reach out to me by phone or through Messenger.

I love you all and appreciate your prayers.

Brenda
