Today, I was reading in the book of
John 14:1-14
It is a powerful passage where Jesus offers comfort and guidance to His disciples.
In verse 6, Jesus declares,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This emphasizes His role as the direct path to God, offering truth and eternal life.
In verses 2-3,
Jesus reassures them that He is going ahead to prepare a place for them, promising to return and bring them to Himself.
In verse 1,
Jesus urges them to trust in God and also in Him, reinforcing His divine authority.
In verses 7-9,
Jesus explains that knowing Him is equivalent to knowing the Father, as He perfectly reflects God’s nature.
In verses 10-11,
Jesus points to His works as evidence of His connection to the Father, urging belief based on what He has done.
In verses 12-14,
Jesus assures them that those who believe in Him will do great works and that He will answer their prayers.
Jesus’ words here highlight himself as the direct revelation of God, the one who leads people to the Father through His teachings, actions, and sacrifice.
If we were to apply the teachings of Jesus here at John 14:1-14 in our daily life it would bring peace, direction, and a deeper connection with God.
For example:
Jesus reassures His disciples, saying,
“Let not your hearts be troubled.”
So, in moments of uncertainty, we could remind ourselves that God, through His Son, is preparing a place for us and guiding our steps. So we could trust in Gods plan.
Jesus declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
This means we could align our choices with Jesus’s teachings, living with integrity, showing kindness, and seeking truth in all things.
Jesus encourages belief in Him and the Father.
So, spending time in prayer and scripture could deepen our trust in God’s presence and promises, and strengthen our faith.
Jesus revealed the Father and His love, through His actions.
We could do the same by showing compassion, forgiveness, and grace to those around us.
Jesus said that those who ask in His name would receive.
So, we could approach prayer with faith, believing that God hears and responds according to His will.
Jesus offers peace that the world cannot give.
In stressful situations, we could learn to lean on His words and seek His presence for comfort, and just embrace His peace.
For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son.’
God loves you ❤️
Dear Father in heaven,
Today, I come before You with a heart full of thanksgiving.
Thank You for the gift of life, for the breath in our lungs, and for another day to serve You.
I thank You for the blessing of my family and my friends.
Thank You for our health, our fur babies, our home, and Your constant presence in our lives.
Father, I lift up my deepest gratitude for Your perfect plan of salvation.
Thank You for sending Your Son into this world to bear the weight of our sins, to become the sacrifice that bridges the gap between us and You.
He was the perfect reflection of You.
Through Him, You have shown us how to live in obedience, love, and service to You.
He is our mediator, our lifeline, and through Him, we find true connection to You.
Father, I also give thanks for the place You are preparing for us, where we will walk with Your Son Jesus Christ and dwell in Your presence forever.
What a glorious promise, a hope that sustains us in every trial and every joy.
Until that day comes, may we remain faithful in serving You, sharing Your love, and living in the truth of Your Word.
May we honor You, worship You, and remember to thank You every day for all we have.
In Your Son’s precious name,
Amen.
Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
