“Looking Up in the Days of Noah”

There is a stirring in my spirit today, a holy nudge that says, “Speak. Remind them. Call them back to what matters.”
Because according to God’s WORD, the signs of the end times are not distant shadows anymore. They are standing right in front of us.

Jesus Himself said:

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”
Matthew 24:37

In Noah’s day, people were busy living life, marrying, planning, building, celebrating, complaining, comparing, gossiping, dreaming about tomorrow.
None of those things were evil in themselves. The danger was that their eyes were everywhere except on God.

And here we are again.

We rush through our days worried about what we do not have, what someone else said, what tomorrow might bring, or whether someone is upset with us.
We count down to Friday, to vacations, to the next thing on our calendar.

But how many of us are counting down to the return of our King?
How many of us are looking up?
How many of us are preparing our hearts, our homes, and our minds?

Jesus warned that many will be caught off guard, not because they were doing terrible things, but because they were too distracted to notice the hour.

“Be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.”
Matthew 24:44

This is not a message of fear. It is a message of focus.

It is not wrong to enjoy life, to plan, to hope, to look forward to good things.
But we can not let the noise of this world drown out the most important event we will ever witness, the return of Jesus Christ, Our King.
Let not the worries, the comparisons, the gossip, the busyness, or the endless scrolling of this world overtake your mind. Lift up your eyes. Steady your heart.
And remember who you belong to.

Sometimes I think about Noah building that ark day after day. People must have laughed. They must have questioned his sanity. But Noah was not listening to them, he was listening to God.
And because he listened, he was ready.

I want to be ready too.
I want my heart to be found watching, waiting, and worshiping, not wandering.

And I want the same for all of you.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

Turn our eyes upward again.

In a world full of noise and distraction, teach us to hear Your voice above all others.

Give us the heart of Noah, faithful, steady, obedient, and unashamed.

Help us loosen our grip on the things that overwhelm us and tighten our grip on the hope of Your return.

Prepare our hearts, our homes, and our minds so that when Jesus comes, He finds us watching and ready.

Keep us from being swept away by the worries of this world.
Anchor us in Your Truth, Your Peace, and Your Love.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day 🙏
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
