“Seasoned With Salt”
“Using Our Words for the Glory of God”

Colossians 4:6
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

This verse tells us how we should communicate with each other.

It is speaking of our speech and our character that should be pure and thoughtful.

The words we speak reveals what is in our hearts.

As children of God our words should always be “Seasoned with Salt.”

Matthew 5:13
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?  It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

Here in this verse Jesus has called believers to be the “Salt of the Earth.”
And warns against the salt losing its taste.

Salt is a mineral.
It preserves our food.
It brings out flavor, soothes, heals, and is necessary for life.

The Salt in our lives should reflect how we speak and how we live.
“Seasoned with Salt.”

Having a un-wholesome attitude with and towards others is not becoming to God.
“Do not let your Salt lose its flavor.”

Not every conversation we have is about God.

But we should always be ready to answer questions about our Faith. And our words and actions should always reflect God living in us.

Our lives, our words,always,
“Seasoned with Salt.”

May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts always be pleasing in Gods sight. (Psalm 19:14)

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

Thank You for calling us to speak with grace, kindness, and wisdom.
Let our words today reflect the work You are doing in our hearts.

Cleanse our thoughts, steady our spirits, and make our speech pure and thoughtful.

Teach us to be the “salt of the earth” in every conversation, preserving what is good, bringing out what is true, soothing what is wounded, and pointing others towards You.

Guard our hearts from attitudes that do not honor You. Keep our salt from losing its flavor.

Let our lives and our words carry the taste of Your Son, Jesus Christ wherever we go.

When we are asked about our faith, fill our mouths with answers shaped by love and truth.

When we speak to those who do not know You,
let them sense Your presence in the way we respond.

May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be pleasing in Your sight, O Father, our strength and our Redeemer.

Thank You for loving us so deeply, and help us love others with that same steady grace.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
