“When the Soul Starts Remembering”

I did a study based on this back in January of this year. I was going over that study this morning and decided to share this message again. Some of the writings are not the same. The last study was titled, “When Nothing Else Matters.”

“When the Soul Starts Remembering”

Every believer reaches a moment when the noise of life grows too loud, the weight grows too heavy, and the distance between them and God feels wider than they ever intended. Not because they stopped loving Him… but because life kept pulling, distracting, draining, and demanding.

Yet even in that distance, something begins to stir. A quiet ache, a longing, a memory of peace.

That stirring is not guilt. It is not failure.
It is not God’s disappointment.

It is God calling our heart home.

Scripture tells us that heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will never fade.

Everything temporary will crumble, but the eternal will stand unshaken. And deep down, every searching soul knows this, or at least feels this.

This is why our heart grows restless when it drifts. This is why nothing satisfies us for long. And this is why the pull toward God never fully disappears.

Because our soul was created for Someone, not something.

Some of us try to fill the emptiness with relationships, success, pleasure, identity, and self‑improvement.

But our heart only finds rest in the One who made it.

And here is the truth many of us forget when we feel far from God.

Distance does not mean abandonment.
Silence does not mean absence.
And… Delay does not mean denial.

God is not hiding from us.
He is drawing us.

He whispers through our ache.
He knocks through our emptiness.
He awakens hunger through our dissatisfaction.
And He stirs longing through our restlessness.

The enemy wants us to believe we must “fix ourselves” before returning or even coming to God for the first time.

But Scripture says:

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”

Not after we get it together.
Not after we feel worthy.
Not after we understand everything.
Just… draw near to Him…

Life is a vapor.
Brief, fragile and unpredictable.

And Eternity is not far away;
It is the next breath after our very last.

And because God loves us, He calls us back before the world’s pull becomes our undoing.

To know God is to know:
Truth in confusion. Peace in fear.
Purpose in distraction. Hope in decay.
and Love in betrayal.

Everything else fades.

Jesus carried the weight of our sin, shame, and brokenness. Not so we could try harder, but so we could come freely.

Nothing matters more than coming or returning to God.

And every soul matters deeply to Him.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

You see the ones of us who feel torn between longing for You and feeling unworthy to return to You or even come to You for the first time.

You see the ones of us who are tired, overwhelmed, discouraged, or drifting.

You see the ones who want to come to You, or come back but just don’t know how.

Draw them Father with Your kindness.

Quiet the lies that tell them they are too far gone or not worthy.

Break the chains that keep them stuck in fear, shame, confusion and lies.

Let them feel Your nearness in the very place they feel so lost.

Open their eyes to see Jesus.
Gentle, patient, merciful, and true.

Let Your Spirit breathe life into their weary hearts. Let Your truth awaken them.
Let Your love restore them. Let Your presence anchor them.

Call them back, Father.
And let nothing stand in the way.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
