“Obedience”

Obedience to the Word of God is more than following rules.
It is a response of love, trust, and surrender.

Obedience means aligning our thoughts, actions, and desires with God’s Truth, even when it challenges our comfort or understanding.

True obedience flows from a heart that reveres God and delights in His will.
It is not about perfection but about a posture of humility, listening, and willingness.

Obedience is the fruit of faith.
When we believe God is who He says He is, we trust that His commands are good, life-giving, and purposeful.

Obedience is in our daily choices.
It is how we speak.
It is how we forgive… and
It is how we serve.

Then, our obedience becomes a living testimony of our relationship with God.

*Do we listen with intention?
Not just hearing the Word, but letting it shape our decisions.

*Do we trust God’s way over our own, even when it is hard?

*Do we live with integrity?
Reflecting God’s Truth in how we treat others.

*Are we persevering in our faith?
Remaining faithful when obedience costs us something.

*Do we respond in love?
Obedience is never cold or rigid.
It is tender, compassionate, and rooted in grace.

John 14:23
“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.
My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Deuteronomy 5:33
Walk in obedience to all that the LORD your God has commanded you so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

1 Samuel 15:22
To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

Romans 12:1-2
Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true and proper worship; be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

I come before You with a heart that longs to honor You. Not just in words but in the way I live.

I pray this for my family and friends as well, that their hearts may long to honor You in everything they say and do.

Teach us, Father, to walk in obedience to Your Word.  Not out of duty, but out of love.

Help us to trust that Your commands are good, even when they challenge us.

Give us courage to surrender our own understanding and follow Your path with faith.

Father, renew our minds and soften our hearts.

Let Your Word dwell richly in us, guiding our steps and shaping our character.

When we falter, remind us of Your grace.

When we resist, draw us back with Your kindness.

May obedience become our worship, our witness, and our joy.

Let Your Spirit stir a revival of obedience in our hearts, rooted in love and truth.

May we be known as people who walk in Your ways, reflect Your heart, and live for Your glory.

In Your Son’s precious name,  Amen.

Have a blessed day 🙏
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
