“Counting Our Blessings”
Counting our blessings helps us recognize the gifts we already have from the air in our lungs, to the people we love.
From sunrise to sleep, and even through the night. Every good thing comes from God, and every blessing reminds us of how much God loves us.
Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
**David understood this deeply.
This scripture was not written from a peaceful meadow but from a life surrounded by enemies, danger, and uncertainty.
Yet David counted his blessings.
God lead David, God restored David, God comforted David, God prepared a table for David, and God followed David with goodness and mercy.
Counting our blessings does not deny the storm we are in. It declares that God is with us in that storm.
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
Dear Father in heaven,
Thank You for the countless blessings You pour into our lives, seen and unseen, big and small.
Fill our hearts with gratitude that strengthens our faith and lifts our spirits.
May we count our blessings, speak our blessings, and then become a blessing to others.
In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
