“God and His Only Begotten Son”

As I explore the scriptures, I have found clear descriptions that highlight the distinct relationship between God the Father and His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Throughout the New Testament, scripture illustrates their loving relationship, separate roles, and shared purpose.
1 Corinthians 8:6 – Paul explains that for believers, there is one God the Father from whom all things come, and one Lord Jesus Christ through whom all things exist and through whom we live.
1 Timothy 2:5 – Scripture states that there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
John 14:28 – Jesus speaks to His disciples, explaining that the Father is greater than He is.
John 17:3 – In His prayer, Jesus addresses the Father as the only true God and speaks of Himself as the one whom the Father sent.
Ephesians 4:4-6 – This passage highlights that there is one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in all.

2nd John 1:3
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
John 10:36
“do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You are blaspheming, because I said, “I am the Son of God?”
Also read – Matthew 3:17, Matthew 17:5, John 1:34, and John 3:35,

1 John 4:15
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

As I understand Gods Word…
There is only one God, the Heavenly Father, and Jesus is His beloved Son. Jesus serves, honors, and obeys His God and Father, the very same God and Father we worship, serve, and obey today.

Jesus is our Brother: He shares in our humanity and invites us into the Father’s family.
Mark 3:35
Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and My mother.
Also read – Matthew 12:49, Luke 8:21, and Hebrews 2:11

Jesus is our High Priest: He intercedes for us before the Father’s throne.
Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
Also read – Hebrews 2:17, Hebrews 4:14 and 16, Hebrews 5:6, and Hebrews 7:26,

Jesus is our Teacher: He demonstrates the truth of God through His life and words.
John 13:13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
Also read – Matthew 23:8, and John 3:2

Jesus is our King: He reigns with all authority, given to Him directly by the Father.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

I share this devotional today in love and humility. If you view or understand these passages differently, please know there is no judgment here from me.
My desire is to remain in continuous love and prayer for you, and I kindly ask for your prayers in return.

God’s Word is true, just, and right, serving as a lamp to our feet. And His Truth brings clarity and hope through two central promises from the writings of John:
John 20:31
These things are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in His name.
And…
John 3:16
God loved the world so deeply that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

I come before You with a thankful heart,  honoring You as the Creator and the one true God. I thank You for sending Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to reveal Your love, truth, and grace to us.
I thank You for Jesus, our High Priest, our Teacher, our King, and our Brother.
I ask that You keep our hearts humble, loving, and patient with one another.
Where we seek understanding, grant us wisdom through Your Holy Spirit.
Help us to walk in unity, to pray for each other consistently, and to reflect Your grace in all we do.
May our lives bring glory to Your name, and may our faith rest securely in Your Word, which is forever true and just.

In the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
