“When God Begins to Heal a Wounded Heart…
the enemy strikes back”

There are times in life when a person begins to turn toward God, Truly turn.

When the walls they built for survival begin to soften. When the heart that has been hardened by years of pain starts to open.
When the past no longer feels like a prison, and hope begins to rise in their heart.

It is often right at this moment of breakthrough that the enemy attacks us the hardest.

Not because we are failing. But because the enemy is terrified of what God is about to do in our life.

A childhood of survival can leave deep scars. Some children grow up in homes filled with love and guidance and others grow up in chaos, instability, and fear.

The children who must survive instead of simply live learn lessons and grow up believing they must protect themselves.
They  believe they can not trust anyone. They believe if they do not stay in control, they will lose everything. They believe that love can disappear at any moment.
And if they show weakness in any way then they open themselves up to be hurt again.

These kind of wounds do not disappear when the child grows up.
They become the lens through which they now see their world.

Often, the person who had no protection as a child becomes the adult who tries to protect everything with force, control, or anger.
Not because they are cruel.
But because they love deeply and they are afraid of losing everything they hold so dear.

God sees that fear.
And He has compassion.

Psalm 34:18
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit.”

We can laugh together, pray together, work together, and genuinely love one another.
And still carry fear.

But God does not condemn us who carry unspoken fear and have learned to compromise with each other so not to awaken the storm in the person we love due to wounds they have no control over.

God is gently calling  us into healing.

But we need to know when God begins to heal what is broken within us the enemy will try to destroy us.

When we lay our wounds and all our broken pieces at the feet of God and begin to seek God with all our heart,  the enemy trembles.

Because a healed person becomes a protector of their family. A  healed person becomes a leader, a peacemaker, a father, a mother, a brother, a sister, a friend and a spouse who blesses, honors, respects, and nurtures.

So the enemy strikes at our weakest point. Our old wounds, our old fears, and our old triggers becomes his stomping ground…
he uses a single moment of anger, a single moment of misunderstanding, and a single reaction to destroy us.

And suddenly it feels like everything has falling apart.

But what looks like destruction may actually be exposure for the sake of our healing.

John 10:10
“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy…”

The enemy wants to destroy all of us and anything in our path that leads to God.
And God wants to restore everthing broken in us, in our lives, and remove the stones the enemy has thrown in our path.

Sometimes God allows a moment in our lives to break open what has been hidden for  many years.
This is not to shame us.
It is not to punish us.
But it is to reveal what needs to be healed.
A separation, a regret, a silence, a consequence, a brother or sister taken away, a home shaken.
Whatever it is…

These moments may feel like the end, but they can also be the very beginning of change and healing.

God often uses the very thing that has hurt us for years to bring the healing that has  been needed for years.

Joel 2:25
“I will restore to you the years the locust has eaten.”
God is calling all of us into freedom, not fear.

Any home built on fear can not stand. Any home built on silence can not heal. And any home built on control can not thrive.

But every home built on God  even if it starts broken, can become a place of peace, honor, and restoration.

No one is beyond repair.
No moment is ever the end.  But they are crossroads.

God is calling the wounded to be healed. God is calling
the fearful to be strengthened. God is calling the silent to be heard.
God is calling the angry to be softened. God is calling
the divided to be reunited.
And God is calling every home to be rebuilt on Him.

Where the enemy wants destruction, God is preparing redemption.

2 Corinthians 3:17
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

May we love each other as God has loved us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

You see every wound.

You see the fear behind the anger, the longing behind everything, and the pain behind the silence.

You see the ones of us who lead with strength because we never felt safe.

You see the ones of us who love deeply but struggle quietly.

You see the moments when the enemy tries to destroy what You have begun to heal.

Father, step into our lives and  into our homes with Your peace.

Heal the wounds that have shaped our lives.

Bring healing where there has been hurt.

Break the chains of fear, anger, and survival.

Restore what has been broken.

Rebuild what has fallen apart.

Bring humility where there has been pride.

Bring gentleness where there has been harshness.

And bring restoration where there has been division.

Break  the generational patterns of survival and replace them with Your love, Your wisdom, and Your freedom.

Let no moment in our lives be the end, but only the beginning of a new story.

A story of healing, a story of forgiveness, and a story of change.

Cover all of us with Your protection.

Lead us to one another, not away from each other.
And lead us to You.

Teach us to trust You over our fears and fill us with hope for a better tomorrow.

May we claim our lives and our homes back from the enemy who thinks he has control and put You before all things in our lives.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
