Before I begin, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your patience.
I know I have not shared a study in about a week, and I apologize for not being more sensitive to the concerns and needs many of you carry.
I have not been feeling well but I am better now, and with God’s help, I am ready to pick this back up again.
During this time away, God has been reminding me once again of something simple but powerful.
That He will meet us in our weakness.
He will meet us in our inconsistency.
He will meet us in our humanity, and He will still choose to work through us for His glory.
This study today comes from that place.
I have shared this once before.
God’s purpose is never about elevating us, but about helping others know Him.
So today, I want to share this Truth again.
“Chosen on Purpose”
God uses imperfect people for His perfect plan. This is the Truth-
God does not wait for perfect people.
He calls the willing, the broken, the overlooked, and the unlikely, and then He shapes them for His purposes and our weakness is not a disqualification; it is the very place His power is revealed.
Throughout Scripture God consistently selected people no one else would choose.
*Moses was insecure, slow of speech, and reluctant.
*Gideon was fearful, hiding, and doubting.
*David was the forgotten youngest son.
*Rahab was a woman with a past, yet full of faith.
*Peter was impulsive, unstable, and denied Jesus.
*Paul was a violent persecutor of christians, and turned apostle.
God chose people like this because His glory shines brightest through surrendered imperfection.
“God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise…”
1 Corinthians 1:27
“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.
Paul was the ultimate example of God seeing potential where others saw danger.
Paul was a persecutor. A man fueled by hatred and a destroyer of the early church.
But God saw amissionary. A teacher, a writer of Scripture, and a vessel of grace.
Paul’s transformation showed us that God does not consult our past to determine our future. But God shows His love for us even as sinners.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, In that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Paul’s life proved that God does not just redeem people. He repurposes them.
God is looking for pliable people.
He is not looking for the strong.
God is looking for the submitted.
He is not looking for the qualified.
God is looking for the called and then He qualifies them.
This is why Scripture says:
2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you. My strength is made perfect in weakness. “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
When God has called us it is never about spotlighting us. It is always about revealing Him.
Moses was called so Israel could be freed.
Esther was called so a nation could be saved.
Paul was called so the gospel could reach the world.
And we are called so others can know God.
Others may see our failures, our flaws, our weaknesses, our past mistakes, and our limitations.
But God sees a story He can redeem.
A vessel He can fill. A life He can use…
and A testimony that will point to Him.
This is what He said to Samuel at:
1 Samuel 16:7
“But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him.
For the LORD does not see as man sees;
for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
There is no limit to what God can do with a surrendered heart.
We are chosen on purpose.
For a purpose. By a God who never makes mistakes.
So, when we feel unworthy, just keep moving forward because God’s grace is enough, and His purpose is bigger than our doubts.
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
Dear Father in heaven,
Thank You for seeing beyond our flaws, our failures, and our fears.
Thank You that You call us not because we are perfect, but because You are.
You can take what is broken and make it whole.
You can take what is ordinary and make it useful.
You can take what the world overlooks and turn it into a testimony of Your grace.
Father, like Paul, reshape our hearts.
Open our eyes to see ourselves the way You see us, not through the lens of our past, but through the promise of who we can become in Your hands.
Make us willing vessels.
Moldable. Teachable and Available.
Use our lives so that others may know You,
see You, and experience Your love.
When we feel unqualified, remind us that You are our strength.
When we feel unseen, remind us that You have called us by name.
When we feel too broken, remind us that Your power is made perfect in our weakness.
God, write Your purpose into our days.
Lead us to the people who need Your hope.
Speak through us with Your truth.
Shine through us with Your love.
And may everything we do point back to You.
The One who chose us, transformed us, and now sends us.
In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.
Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
