“Found Worthy”
This is the story of Noah. It is not simply just about a flood. It is about a man who walked with God when the world around him had stopped listening.
Genesis tells us that –
“Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
(Genesis 6:9)
Noah was not spared because he was flawless. He was spared because he was faithful.
In a world drowning in corruption, Noah kept his ears tuned to the Father’s voice.
He lived differently. He listened differently. He obeyed differently. And God saw him.
Scripture tells us that before the flood, rain had never fallen. The earth was watered from the ground. So when God said:
“Make yourself an ark…”
(Genesis 6:14)
Noah had no frame of reference. No past experience. No weather pattern to compare. Yet he obeyed.
Noah did not ask for proof. Noah did not wait for understanding. Noah did not negotiate the instructions. Noah simply trusted the One speaking.
This should raise a question for every believer today.
Do we know our Father’s voice?
Would we obey if He spoke –
or would we wait until it made sense?
Obedience is rarely convenient.
But it is always protective.
Genesis chapter 7 shows us something remarkable. It says the animals came to Noah. They entered the ark in the order God commanded. Clean animals in pairs of sevens and unclean in pairs of two.
Creation itself responded to the voice of its Maker. The same God who spoke to Noah also guided the animals. They moved with instinct that was not instinct at all – it was obedience.
If the animals could hear God… If Noah could hear God… Then surely we, God’s redeemed children, can learn to hear Him too.
Listening is not complicated. It is costly.
It requires quiet. It requires surrender and
it requires trust.
One of the most sobering verses in Scripture is this –
“And the Lord shut him in.”
(Genesis 7:16)
Noah did not close the door to the ark – God did. And once it was shut, all hope for survival was gone – except for the remnant inside.
There is coming a day, very soon according to Scripture – when the door of mercy will close again. Not the door of the ark, but the door of opportunity, repentance, and rescue.
Jesus said:
“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be…” (Matthew 24:37)
The world will be busy. People distracted.
People unconcerned. People unprepared.
But God’s people must be different.
Are we listening? Are we watching?
Are we walking in obedience?
And are we ready?
Noah’s story is not ancient history. It is a present warning and a present comfort.
God sees the faithful. God speaks to the listening. God protects the obedient.
God preserves the remnant. And just as God guided Noah, God guides us –
through His Word, His Spirit, and His gentle nudges that whisper:
“Walk with Me.”
“Trust Me.”
“Obey Me.”
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
May we be found faithful in our generation,
just as Noah was in his.
Dear Father in heaven,
Teach us to hear Your voice above every noise of this world.
Give us the courage to obey even when we do not fully understand.
Make our hearts tender, our ears open, and our steps steady.
Prepare us for the day when the door closes and only those who walk with You will stand secure.
Help us live as Noah lived – faithful, watchful, obedient, and ready.
Keep us in Your mercy, anchor us in Your truth, and strengthen us to remain a remnant that honors You.
