“Chosen by God”

In a world that often measures worth by popularity, power, or performance, the message of Jesus Christ stands in beautiful contrast.

Peter wrote to believers scattered across the known world. Many of them marginalized, persecuted, or misunderstood reminding them that their faith was anchored in the One whom the world had rejected.

To many, Jesus was not the Messiah the religious leaders had expected.

He did not come with political dominance or military might.

Instead, He came as a servant, a Savior, a sacrificial Lamb.

Rejected by men, yet chosen by God.

Despised by the world, yet infinitely precious to the Father.

1 Peter 2:4
Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious.

This rejection was not a mark of failure.
It was a fulfillment of prophecy.

Jesus became the cornerstone of a new spiritual house, and all who build their lives upon Him are secure.

The world may scoff, but God declares:
1 Peter 2:6
Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.

What a promise. In Christ, we are never misplaced, never forgotten, never shamed.

Our redemption was not purchased with silver or gold, but with something far more valuable. The precious blood of Jesus.

1 Peter 1:18-19
Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold, from your aimless conduct recieved by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

And now, through God’s Spirit, we are able to see what the world cannot.

The priceless gift of salvation freely given to all who believe.

1 Corinthians 2:12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

This is the Spirit that opens our eyes to the beauty of the cross, the depth of God’s love, and the eternal life offered through His Son, Jesus Christ.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

So, if you have ever felt rejected, overlooked, or unworthy. Remember this,

Jesus took that pain. He bore it for us.
And through Him, we have been chosen. We are precious, and we are now a part of God’s family.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, the living stone rejected by men but chosen and precious in Your sight.

Thank You that through His blood, we are redeemed.

Not with things that fade but with a love that endures forever.

Open our eyes, Father, by Your Spirit, to see the immeasurable worth of Your Son, Jesus and the gift of salvation that  He has freely given to each of us through His death.

Help us to stand firm on the cornerstone of Christ, unashamed and secure, even when the world misunderstands or rejects us.

May we live each day with the assurance that we are loved, chosen, and precious to You.

And may we share this Truth with others who need to know they are not forgotten.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen

Have a blessed Day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
