“Obedience and Salvation”
Salvation is a gift – undeserved, unearned, and offered freely through Christ.
Yet Scripture is unmistakably clear.
Those who are truly saved become obedient people.
Obedience is not the price of salvation, but the proof of it. It is the fruit that grows from a heart transformed by God.
Hebrews 5:9
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
Salvation belongs to the obedient.
Jesus became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
Obedience is not an accessory to our faith; it is the response of our faith.
Revelation 22:14
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
This scripture says,
“Blessed are they who did His commandments.”
This is not works‑based salvation.
This is evidence‑based salvation.
The saved obey.
The redeemed follow and the faithful walk in His ways.
John 5:29
and come forth – those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
Good deeds reveal the life within.
Jesus Himself taught that the resurrection separates people by what their lives produced.
“Those who have done good, to the resurrection of life…”
A life touched by God becomes a life shaped by God.
Obedience is the steady, daily choosing of God’s will over our own.
Romans 2:6-11
who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness – indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.
(God judges truthfully, not partially.)
Paul teaches that God “renders to each one according to his deeds.”
Not because deeds save us, but because deeds reveal us.Those who patiently continue in doing good receive eternal life. Those who do not obey the truth receive wrath. Those who work what is good receive glory, honor, and peace.
Obedience is the dividing line between those who seek God and those who reject Him.
Obedience is the fruit of genuine faith and true faith always produces action.
Obedience protects us from deception.
Obedience glorifies God.
Obedience shows the world who we belong to and whose voice we follow.
Obedience prepares us for the Kingdom.
Those who obey now will joyfully obey forever.
Obedience is the expression of love…
Love obeys.
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
Dear Father in heaven,
Thank You for giving us salvation through Your Son, and for calling us into a life that reflects Your holiness.
Teach us that obedience is not a burden but a blessing, a honor, a privilege, and a sign that Your Spirit is working within us.
Help us to walk in Your commandments with willing hearts.
Strengthen us to choose righteousness when the world pulls us toward compromise.
Let our lives testify that we belong to You, not by words alone, but by the way we live, speak, serve, and love.
May obedience be our worship, faithfulness our offering, and surrender our daily posture.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
