“Studying God’s Word”
There is a hunger inside me that nothing in this world can satisfy more than Gods Truth. I crave Gods direction, correction, comfort, and hearing His voice .
The only place I find all of this is in Gods Word. Studying Scripture is survival. It is how I stay anchored when life shakes me.
Gods Word is not just another a book on my shelf. It is my breath. It is my light. Its power, Its life, and when I open it, I am opening my heart to the very voice of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17) tells us plainly that “All Scripture is breathed out by God…”
That means every word carries Gods authority, wisdom, intention, and heart. Gods Word teaches us, corrects us, trains us, and equips us. If we want to grow, if we want to mature, and be complete in Christ, we can not do it apart from Gods Word.
Paul urges believers to “rightly handle the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
This means we do not rush through Scripture. We do not twist it to fit our feelings. We do not treat it lightly.
We study with reverence and humility.
We study with a desire to understand God, not to prove ourselves right.
Studying the Word is an act of worship.
It is how we present ourselves to God as workers who are not ashamed, because we have taken the time to know what He actually says.
God told Joshua to meditate on the Word “day and night.” (Joshua 1:8)
He did not say occasionally. When we feel spiritual, or when life gets hard.
He said, “Day and night.”
Maybe because obedience flows from remembrance. And we can not obey what we do not know.
Our lives are full of dark corners, confusing turns, and moments when we simply do not know what to do… But Psalm 119:105 reminds us – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Gods Word shines where we stand. Gods Word shows us the next step. Gods Word keeps us from stumbling. And Gods Word keeps us from wandering.
Without Gods Word, we walk in shadows, but with Gods Word, we walk in clarity.
Scripture says the Word is “living and active.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Gods Word is not stale. It is not outdated. It is not powerless.
Gods Word cuts through lies, exposes motives, convicts, comforts, and heals.
Gods Word reaches places in us that no sermon, no song, no counselor, and no friend can reach.
Look around us, we are living in a time when opinions are loud, truth is twisted, and deception is dressed up as wisdom.
But Gods Word never changes.
Jesus Himself prayed, “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”
(John 17:17)
Truth is not found in culture. It is not found in feelings. It is not found in trends.
Truth is found in Gods Word alone.
So, when we are studying we are anchoring ourselves to something eternal.
When we open our Bible with expectation.
When we read with humility. When we study with hunger. When we meditate with patience. And when we obey with joy- Gods Word shapes our thoughts, softens our heart, strengthens our walk, and steadies our faith.
Let Gods Word be our daily bread and our living water. And remember, no matter how differently we may read or understand certain passages, we still share-
One God. One faith. One Lord Jesus Christ – our Messiah, our King, our Mediator.
Let Gods Truth be our anchor.
Oh, how God loves us ❤️
Dear Father in heaven,
Thank You for Your Word that is living, breathing, eternal, and pure.
Thank You for giving us a lamp for our feet and a light for our path.
Stir up a hunger in every heart reading this study.
Teach us to love Your Word, to honor it, to meditate on it, and to let it shape our lives.
Remove distraction. Remove complacency.
Remove anything that keeps us from opening our Bibles.
Fill us with desire for Your Truth.
Let Your Word correct us, comfort us, and transform us.
Anchor us in Your Word the Word of Truth.
In Jesus’ holy, precious name, Amen.
Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
