“Crucified With Christ”

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

To truly live in Christ, something in us must die every day. Not our personality, not our humanity but our self‑rule, our self‑will, and our self‑dependence.

“I am crucified with Christ”

This is not a one‑time event.
Paul is describing a continual posture of surrender.

Daily surrender is choosing God’s will over our own impulses.

Crucifying the flesh is laying down pride, anger, fear, and ego. Letting go of self‑rule is refusing to be the center of our own lives.

This “death” is not about punishment.
It is about freedom.

When the old self dies, the Spirit has room to live fully.

“Nevertheless I live; yet not I”-

Paul says he lives, but not by his own strength.

This is the mystery:
the more we die to ourself, the more alive we become.

The self dies- Christ rises in us.

Our weakness fades- His strength takes over.

Our limited vision shrinks- His eternal purpose expands.

This is why dying daily is not loss-
It is  transformation.

“Christ liveth in me”-

This is the heart of the verse.
Christ does not just influence us.
He lives in us.

“I am crucified with Christ”-
This is not a one‑time event.
This is daily death.

This means:
Jesus’ compassion becomes our compassion.
Jesus’ patience becomes our patience.
Jesus’ courage becomes our courage.
And Jesus’ faith becomes our faith.

This is the part many overlook.
Paul does not say:
“I live by my faith in the Son of God.”

He says he lives by the faith of the Son of God.

This means:
We rely on His faithfulness, not our fluctuating feelings.

We stand on His strength, not our own.

We trust His ability, not our ability to trust.

We can not live by Christ’s faith unless the old self dies daily.

Self and Christ can not co‑rule the same heart.

“Who loved me and gave Himself for me” This is the motivation.
The reason we die daily is not fear.
It is love.

Christ gave Himself fully so we give ourselves daily.

This is not obligation. It is response.

Daily dying, daily living- daily indwelling- daily faith- daily love.

This is the rhythm of Galatians 2:20

Oh, how God loves us❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

May we choose daily to die to ourselves, to die to our pride, to die to our fears, to die to our desires to control life.

Crucify in us anything that keeps Christ from living fully through us.

May we be one with Him as He is one with You.

Let His thoughts become our thoughts.
Let His heart become our heart, and let His faith become our faith.

Teach us to surrender daily, joyfully, and completely.

Thank You for loving us and giving Your Son for us.

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
