“Not My Timing… Not My Way… Not My Will… Not I, but You.”
Romans 8:31–34

There are seasons when waiting on God feels like standing still while the world keeps moving. Our hearts whisper,
“LORD, when? LORD, how? LORD, why?”

And yet, every time we choose to wait on Him, we are making a declaration of faith that shakes the kingdom of darkness.

Waiting on God is not passive.
It is not weakness.
It is not defeat.

Waiting on God is worship.

When we wait, we are saying:

Not my timing but Yours.
Not my way but Your way.
Not my will but Your will.
Not I, but You.

This is the posture of a surrendered heart. And Romans 8:31–34 reminds us why we can wait with confidence, courage, and peace.

Verse 31
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

This is not a question. It is a declaration.

If the God who created the heavens, who parted seas, who shut the mouths of lions, who raised Jesus from the dead—
if THAT God is for us, then nothing formed against us can stand.

Not fear.
Not delay.
Not discouragement.
Not people.
Not circumstances.
Not the enemy.

Waiting becomes easier when we remember who stands with us.

Verse 32
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things.”

God already gave us His greatest gift—His Son.

If He did not withhold Jesus, why would He withhold anything else we truly need?

This verse confronts the lie that God is ignoring us or punishing us when He delays.

No.
His delays are never denial.
His timing is never cruelty.
His silence is never abandonment.

If He gave us Jesus, He will give us everything that aligns with His will, His purpose, and our eternal good.

Verse 33
“Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect, it is God who justifies.”

When we wait, the enemy loves to accuse.
He says:

“We are not enough.”
“We messed up too much.”
“God is done with us.”
“We are forgotten.”
“We are failing.”

But God Himself answers the accusation:

“It is God who justifies.”

Meaning:

God chose us.
God calls us His own.
and the enemy must answer to Him.

No accusation can overturn God’s verdict.

Verse 34
“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore has also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”

The only One with the right to condemn us—Christ— the very One who died for us,
rose for us, sits at the right hand of the Father, and intercedes for us.

Jesus is not against us.
He is praying for us.
He is standing with us.
He is speaking on our behalf.

So when we wait, we are not waiting alone.

When we wait on God, we are not stuck.
We are being strengthened.

When we surrender our timing, we are being aligned.
When we surrender our way, we are being refined.
When we surrender our will, we are being transformed.
When we surrender ourselves, Christ is being formed in us.

Waiting is not wasted.
Waiting is where God prepares us for what He has already prepared for us.

Oh, how God loves us ❤️

Dear Father in heaven,

Teach us to wait with trust, not fear.

Help us surrender our timing, our plans, and our expectations into Your hands.

Remind us that if You are for us, nothing can stand against us.

Strengthen our hearts when the enemy accuses, and silence every voice that speaks condemnation.

Thank You for giving us Jesus, our Savior, our Advocate, our Intercessor.

Help us rest in Your love, Your wisdom, and Your perfect will.

Make us faithful in the waiting, and let our lives declare,

“Not my will, but Yours be done.”

In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Have a blessed day
God loves you ❤️
and so do I ❤️
